About
The Rundown, News How You Like It
An AI-driven news sanctuary — mental wellbeing controls and transparent framing.
TRD News is a free news site built for people who want to stay informed without the doom-scrolling. It brings together reporting from established publishers, live scores and official video, then lets you decide how you take it in: just your teams and topics, a calm reading mode, positive stories only, or the whole paper. “TRD” stands for The Rundown — a quick, honest summary of what happened and why it matters.
Our desks
- Sports — Scores, stories and fans.
- Politics — Every side, plainly told.
- Business & Money — The economy, work and your money — no hype.
- Tech — Gadgets, AI and the internet.
- Entertainment — Film, TV, music and streaming.
- Good News — Progress, kindness and solutions.
- TRD Live — always-on channels of official video from leagues, newsrooms and studios.
How it works
We read public feeds from trusted publishers every few minutes and group stories about the same event together, so you see one headline with every outlet that covered it instead of ten near-copies. Each story links to the original reporting. We show only headlines, a short excerpt and a link — never the full article — so publishers keep their readers.
Scores and schedules come from sports data providers and update live. Video plays in the official channel’s own player, so views stay with the people who made it.
Our standards
- No gambling, ever. No odds, betting lines, picks, fantasy, prediction markets or sportsbook ads.
- No clickbait. Every headline we write is checked by our Straight Talk rules: plain words, no teasing, no ALL-CAPS outrage. Publisher headlines that read as clickbait are ranked down or left out.
- Low-anxiety by design. Calm mode, positive-only stories, spoiler shields and reduced motion are a tap away under Settings.
- Every side. Politics shows coverage from left, center and right outlets. Lean labels rate the publisher (from public media-bias ratings), never the article.
- Fans set the tone. Mood and Energy come from moderated public fan conversation, never from the media’s own framing.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong — a summary, a label, a score — tell us at support@whu-ai.com and we’ll fix it and note the change.
How we use AI
AI helps us write short summaries, your personal Rundown and some labels, always from the linked reporting. AI output is checked against our rules before it appears, and it can still be wrong, so every summary links to its sources. Our AI is instructed never to add quotes or scores that aren’t in the reporting, and nothing is published under a reporter’s name.
Ads and sponsors
TRD is free because of advertising. Ads and sponsored blocks are always labelled, never disguised as news, and never about gambling, betting or adult content. We don’t sell your personal information. See the Privacy Policy for details, or contact us about advertising.
Who we are
